BRAIN BREAK "ROOM MOVE"

BRAIN BREAKS
"ROOM MOVE!"

So much research has been done in favor of taking "Brain Breaks" (a.k.a. "We've been sitting and trying to focus for too long!! We can't take it anymore!!") when in comes to learning.

BENEFITS INCLUDE
  • INCREASED BLOOD FLOW TO BRAIN & MUSCLES
  • RE-SET IN ATTENTION
  • RETAINING INFORMATION
  • POSITIVE CHANGE IN ATTITUDE
  • REDUCED STRESS
  •  INCREASED COGNITIVE CREATIVITY
Here is a simple activity to include in your daily schedule while distance learning. It's called "ROOM MOVE!". Here's how it works:
  1. Give yourself some space.
  2. Get ready to move!
  3. Leader will give the first "move" signal...
  4. Be ready to change the move after 15-20 seconds!
MOVE SIGNALS:
- Move like you're jumping rope
- Move like you're in slow motion
- Move in an army crawl
- Move like a bee is chasing you!
- Move like you're hula-hooping
- Move in a crab walk
- Move like you're in a marching band
- Move like you're ice skating

THE LIST IS ENDLESS
